The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for mechanical assembly of Tri Tool's line of industrial equipment as well as some electrical assembly.

Essential Duties & Functions:

  • Mechanical assembly of Tri Tool products.
  • Maintain the high quality of Tri Tool standards for all final assemblies.
  • Organize & store finished product into inventory as required.
  • Complete associated paper work as required, job work orders, routing, time cards, etc.
  • Practice safe work habits.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work place.
  • Assist in other departments at times, (stock room, shipping, etc.) as required to ensure customer's ship dates are met.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum 2 years mechanical assembly experience;
  • Experience operating a forklift and chain hoist;
  • Ability to understand blueprints;
  • Ability to use basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.);
  • Use of hand and air powered tools, diagnostics and repair skills;
  • Soldering skills including point-to-point, through hole and surface mount components a plus;
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work well under pressure and with others;
  • Ability to perform with minimal supervision to work independently and be successful;
  • Basic knowledge of computers;
  • Current driver license and clean driving record;
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without VISA sponsorship.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is primarily conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting and requires off site field work. The noise level is mild in the office and moderate to loud in the production areas and at job site locations. Travel to other company facilities and client locations required. Depending on the location and environment the climate can vary in areas of temperatures, exposure to fumes, solvents, chemicals, lubricants, and loud machinery. Position requires knowledge and use of Personal Protective Equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to travel globally to remote onshore and offshore job sites. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, anything over 50 pounds requires assistance. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to safely use and demonstrate industrial tooling and equipment, hand tools, power tools. Must be able to use office equipment such as computers, multi-line phones, scanners, copiers, and paper cutters.
