ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES incude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pulling and packaging orders for shipment.
  • Loading and unloading trucks.
  • Stocking material in ranking systems.
  • Performing general house keeping on a daily basis.


EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM THESE DUTIES

  • Fork lifts
  • Overhead cranes
  • Side loaders
  • Banding tools
  • Saws
  • Pry bars
  • Hammers


PHYSICAL DEMANDS described her are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  •  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; push, pull and reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Abiltity to read and comprehend simple instructions, short corrspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple corrspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, and mutiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY 

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
