The US Vectibix and AMG 510 Brand team at Amgen is looking for a CRC and CDx Marketing Director to join our Thousand Oaks, California location. This role will report to the Brand Lead Executive Director and will be responsible for both strategic and tactical activities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Drive the success of Vectibix and meet business targets, including leading the financial planning
  • CRC lead for the brand team, including DSE, AMG 510 CRC
  • Lead the CDx promotional strategy and execution for both lung and CRC
  • Coach and manage team
  • Drive execution of strategic and tactical brand plans to achieve marketing and business objectives
  • Translate US market and competitive insights into strategic implications and tactics that optimize business objectives
  • Identify market segments and develop deep understanding of customer needs
  • Develop and drive field sales strategic direction for Vectibix and diagnostic (CDx) activities
  • Oversee and lead activities with agencies to execute on plan and within budget
  • Lead cross-functional team to gain alignment both strategically and tactically
  • Lead MAC approval of all DSE and brand-related materials for Vectibix, AMG 510 CRC and CDx related tactics
  • Liaison with Global Marketing teams on evaluation of CRC and CDx opportunities/ strategy
  • Lead the development of CDx promotional activities in partnership with 510 lung marketing directors
  • Point person for non-lung brand activities
  • Oversee budget development and updates


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience

OR

Master's degree and 6 years of marketing experience

OR

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of biotech/ pharmaceutical industry experience with strong marketing & management skills including developing market strategies, executing tactics, and responsibility for revenue generation.
  • 4 plus years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resource
  • Solid Tumor Oncology and CDx/biomarker experience (knowledge of the oncology market, HCPs, payors, patients, and large academic hospitals).
  • Successful HCP marketing experience
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team that is aligned to a common vision and to coach/mentor team members to generate both strong performance and achievement of individual career aspirations
  • Strong ability to both lead and influence cross-functional teams effectively
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage, connect, and influence senior management and the sales and marketing organizations
  • Ability to translate and communicate complex information/strategies into simple and impactful execution plans
  • Knowledge of and experience working with the promotions legal/regulatory environment including first hand MAC experience and knowledge of Compliance SOPs.
  • Excellent written, analytical and oral communication skills.
  • Strong competitive mindset, business acumen, emotional intelligence and results driven
