Manufacturing Technician - Software Development

Role Summary:Join a high-performing team that is creating the Brilliant factory of the future to make the worlds fastest CT detector components. Develop and integrate custom software for manufacturing equipment to deliver data and enable advanced analytics that will improve product quality and reduce cost.

Essential Responsibilities: Develop custom software for testing and in-process data monitoring of CT and PET detector components & subsystems

Create and validate GUIs for operator input (Python/Java/Web)

Develop server-side applications to aggregate raw data into more accessible tables

Manage and optimize a Percona cluster of local database servers

Coordinate data transfer to local Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Identify and develop new solutions for digitizing key business processes

Execute rigorous testing and qualification for releasing software into a manufacturing environment

Qualifications/Requirements:1. Associates degree, or a High School diploma and 5 years technical experience

2. Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem solving techniques

3. Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process

4. Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information

5. Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information

6. Ability to communicate using English (or local language)

Desired Characteristics:1. Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar technical field

2. Experience developing software in Java or Python for deployment on both Windows and Linux platforms

3. Familiarity with SQL queries and database table design

4. Familiarity with website development using Node.js

5. Familiarity with revision control systems such as git

6. Ability to integrate into hardware systems through Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) via OPC server

7. Experience with automation through software control of collaborative (UR) robots

8. Lean 6-sigma: GB or DFSS BB/MBB certified
