Role Summary:The MPL Site Leader role is a key member of the program team that will create a manufacturing center of excellence for X-Ray operations. This role has full ownership and responsibility for all aspects of the new manufacturing site, including inputs to site design/build, interior layout and design, material strategy, process flows, site readiness, and acts as Catching Leader for the manufacturing transfer program.

Essential Responsibilities: Lead the transfer program Catching Team to meet all program deliverables and milestones on time and on budget.

Provide mentoring and oversite to the AMEs and other members of the Catching Team.

Partner with site Lean Leaders to create Lean Wall-to-Wall analysis for site design, including: Support staff workspaces, Raw Material, Manufacturing Assembly lines, Test Equipment, Finished Goods, Pack & Ship.

Lead site wing to wing business plan (Value Stream Map) with regard to space allocation, flow, and material planning.

o Identify plan for 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) storage of raw material. Include planning for QMS relevant activities for GE owned material.

o Identify plan for 3PL for finished good storage at Laredo Texas

o Coordinate Material Storage Plan at Monterrey identify target inventory goals (Max, min, average) and storage capacity based on attributes of parts and suppliers.

Monitor and support supplier management activities (SQE / Sourcing) via materials transfer leader

o Engage in supplier decisions and localization efforts.

White-boarding manufacturing operations to create a reliable and agile modern supply chain, including: Manufacturing at Takt Time, Brilliant Factory, Lean certified lines, Material presentation & flow, moving lines, mixed model lines, visual management.

Work closely with AME/Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials and Logistics to create new manufacturing operations that optimize inventory and lead time and maximize Quality. This includes inputs for changes to product and process design.

Ensure Environmental / Facilities compliance for all incoming products. Identify changes required and coordinate with facility team.

Lead cross-functional reviews of proposed manufacturing operations to win stakeholder agreement including production teams.

Qualifications/Requirements:1. Bachelors Degree in engineering, supply chain management, or similar.

2. 7 years of work experience in manufacturing operations, logistics, material management, Lean, or supply chain management.

Desired Characteristics:1. Prior experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering

2. Prior experience in leading a manufacturing operation.

3. Excellent communication and organization skills, including experience in communicating with others from different countries and cultures.

4. Proven ability to execute, prioritize multiple objectives, and deliver on commitments. Operate independently with little to no supervision. Self-motivating and ability to perform at a high pace.

5. Change Agent: Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization. Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and matrix environment

6. Certified in Lean Six Sigma

7. Experience in performing Lean wall-to-wall analyses

8. Experience in setting up manufacturing operations from scratch: including moving lines, material presentation, Brilliant Factory, visual management, and flow

9. Experience in designing Lean certified manufacturing lines

10. Experience in regulated industries with strong preference within the Medical Device industry.

11. Experience in formal NPI / Transfer milestone process

12. Experience with Design Change Processes
