Manufacturing Engineering Technician Production Technician

Role Summary:A Manufacturing Engineering Technician performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GEHC product manufacturing including: training records, electronic device history records, containing and dispositioning non-conforming material, updating work instructions, maintaining tools and ESD mitigation, reviewing and approving documented process changes, and general production support. The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12am with flexibility required.

Essential Responsibilities:Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

Perform advanced troubleshooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution. Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions

Assist Production Associates with daily manufacturing activities

Change control within quality management systems (QMS) according to requirements

Employ technical problem-solving and follow up

Perform repair on instruments when required

Develop and review procedures and methods, driving cross-department process improvements focused on reducing overall product cycle time

Recommend revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards

Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency

Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards

Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability

Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards

Develop and execute training plans as required, and train other team members through technical communications and/or presentations

Maintain training records for production processes

Comply with EHS regulations and policies

Manage quality of parts and products by collaborating with various departments

Qualifications/Requirements:1. Associates degree or a High School Diploma and 2 years experience

2. Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem-solving techniques

3. Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process

4. Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information

5. Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information

6. Demonstrated ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology

7. Strong written and verbal communication skills

8. Proficient in Windows OS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired Characteristics:1. Experience with electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems

2. Strong mechanical aptitude

3. Experience in manufacturing or operations

4. Bachelors degree in engineering or a technical field

5. Attention to detail

6. Six Sigma Green Belt certified

7. Experience with ERP systems
