Universal Screen Arts, a multi-brand and online retailer with corporate offices in Hudson, Ohio, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, upkeep and repairs on the property structures, grounds and equipment at two of our local facilities in Hudson, OH.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs monthly preventative maintenance testing and documentation on fire suppression
• Performs regular preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
• Performs facility and equipment checks and inspections, as required (weekly, quarterly, etc.)
• Maintenance and repair of building structural parts, including windows, doors, plaster, and/or flooring and responds to general maintenance, painting, plumbing, lighting and safety needs
• Performs adjustments, repairs and regular maintenance to conveyor systems, motor controls and electrical panels
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and provide minimal downtime to production
• Maintains Public Space: plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, electrical equipment, including lamps, air conditioners, cosmetic items, replacement of electrical switches and outlets.
• Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps
• Maintains service records of equipment on automated production systems
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices
• Observes and troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation by adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, as well as repairing/replacing defective parts

• 3+ years' experience in general building, plumbing and/or electrical maintenance required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; secondary education in general maintenance preferred
• Valid Ohio Drivers' license required
• Ability and knowledge in the use of hand and power tools
• Ability to perform basic carpentry repairs
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop and/or kneel continuously
• Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Good verbal and writing skills
• Ability to work overtime, on call and/or extended shifts as needed
