Job Description

Teva is searching for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Irvine, CA!

 

As a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities at the Irvine manufacturing site. The scope of work includes, CMMS Administration, Planning and Scheduling of corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance work, shutdown, and project work performed by site maintenance personnel and external service contractors.  You will ensure maintenance work is planned taking into consideration special tools require for the job, environmental & Safety aspects, resources availability (internal and external), equipment availability, work permits and materials (stock and non-stock). This position ensures jobs are planned in full compliance to procedures and regulatory agencies.

 

You will:

  • Utilize industry best practices to prioritize, plan, and schedule all corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance work for the maintenance team and external service providers.  Ensure all jobs are planned following Safety and Quality best practices.
  • Provide planning for corrective (non-emergency), preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance activities for the Maintenance area. Planning includes develop and clarify the scope of work, coordinate the manufacturing windows, evaluate the resource and load balancing and the spare parts (stock and non-stock materials) associated with the job. Work with outside maintenance vendors, contractors, and suppliers to provide the site with quality services. 
  • Be responsible for the scheduling and coordinating preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and necessary resources for manufacturing process equipment maintenance within each Manufacturing Unit. Partner with Planning Department to ensure all schedules and activities can be met.
  • Generate preventive maintenance work orders in a timely manner; track timely completion of preventive maintenance schedule and corrective maintenance backlog.
  • Conduct and Lead weekly maintenance schedule meetings with Supervisors and Operations.  Develop weekly schedules for the maintenance team.
  • Plan and schedule facility shutdowns and projects to meet organizational objectives.
  • Manage maintenance activities and the work order backlog in the CMMS.
  • Administer and maintain the CMMS to ensure that all system data is updated, accurate, and compliant following approved procedures.
  • Work with MRO team for timely procurement and acquisition of parts needed for planned maintenance activities. 
  • Track, maintain and publish maintenance performance metrics / statistics.
  • Maintain maintenance history records and assure CMMS compliance with Company policies, procedures and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Maintenance Planning & Scheduling in a highly regulated environment required.  Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device or pharmaceutical is desirable.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the use of a CMMS (e.g. EAM, SAP, and MAXIMO) required
  • Experience working within the guidelines of a Quality Management System (e.g. Change Control, Quality Investigations)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance best practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of environmental, health and safety regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience in inventory management and maintenance storerooms.
  • Project management skills are desirable.
