SUMMARY


Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.


 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the manufacturing facilitys equipment.

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

  • Troubleshoot and master complex machine repairs including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic production machines. Be familiar with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Utilize good judgment to determine the best method and necessary steps to complete repairs.  Must possess the mechanical ability necessary to disassemble and reassemble the machine.

  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules and properly complete the necessary documentation.  

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

Most of the Maintenance Technicians time is spent on the production floor.  This employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and/or equipment, heights over 10, loud noises, machining noise, warm temperatures, airborne particles, possible electrical shock, chemicals and fumes. 


 


REQUIREMENTS



  • High school diploma requires

  • Minimum four (4) years machine repair with apprenticeship OR eight (8) years experience without apprenticeship.

  • Must read, write & speak the English language fluently.

  • Must be able to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
