\u003Cdiv\u003E \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EADP is hiring a Medical Review Specialist.\u003C/strong\u003E In this position, you\u0027ll join a team of - professionals who are responsible for effectively managing leaves of absences (LOA) in accordance with Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), state, municipality and customer-defined paid and unpaid requirements. Responsibilities inclue reviewing healthcare provider certification and return to work forms to evaluate appropriateness of LOA request; make decisions in a timely and accurate manner, seeking second/third opinions or calling practitoner offices when appropriate and resolving appeals/late submissions in an appropriate manner.\u003C/p\u003E \u003Cp\u003EWe strive for every interaction to be driven by our \u003Cstrong\u003ECORE\u003C/strong\u003E values: \u003Cstrong\u003EInsightful Expertise, Integrity is Everything, Service Excellence, Inspiring Innovation, Each Person Counts, Results-Driven, and Social Responsibility.\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ERESPONSIBILITIES:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E \u003Cul\u003E \u003Cli\u003EIndependently interprets and administers leave of absence programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, Paid Family Leave (NYS PFL) ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EEnters timely documentation in an accurate and comprehensive manner while maintaining maximum levels of efficiency and confidentality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EPrepares and disseminates articulate written and verbal communication to assorted internal and external sources.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EParticipates in the peer review process to ensure that internal and external documentation meets quality standards.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003ERecommends and drives improvement to department processes to gain efficiencies and /or enhance the customer experience.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EAssists in training/orientation of new staff as requested.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EMaintain strict confidentiality when working with sensitive data.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EWork independently and as a team member\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003ESet priorities in day to day work\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EPerforms other related duties as assigned.\u003C/li\u003E \u003C/ul\u003E \u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C/p\u003E \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E \u003Cul\u003E \u003Cli\u003ELPN/LVN License, or higher clinical designation, from an accredited program and KY licensure in good standing.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EGraduate of a Certified Medical Assistant Program: Doctor Office Setting: Minimum of one (1) year experience.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EExpert knowledge of federal and state regulations that pertain to healthcare, leaves of absence and other employer sponsored benefit programs.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, inclusive of Outlook, Word and Excel, sufficient to develop documents and spreadsheets for tracking and archiving information.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EBasic math skills.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EAbility to make decision and judgments utilizing problem solving skills.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EExcellent understanding of medical terminology/pathology/anatomy/ICD codes/diagnosis.\u003C/li\u003E \u003Cli\u003EExcellent interpersonal, phone and organizational skills required.\u003C/li\u003E \u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/div\u003E \u003CP\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\u003C/strong\u003E Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:\u003C/p\u003E \u003Cul\u003E \u003Cli\u003ELeave management experience.\u003C/li\u003E \u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/div\u003E\u003C/P\u003E \u003CP\u003EWe\u0027re designing a better way to work, so you can achieve what you\u0027re working for.
