Job Summary
The Oral History Archival Processing Specialist reports to the Oral History Archivist and is responsible for various aspects of processing oral history interviews and collections. The Oral History Archival Processing Specialist assists the Oral History Archivist with accessioning, creates descriptive metadata for interviews at the collection and interview levels, and oversees the processing and preparation of providing enhanced access to online interviews using the Nunn Center’s OHMS (Oral History Metadata Synchronizer) workflow. Additionally, the Processing Archivist is responsible for the digitization of analog materials, facilitating reference workflow as needed, managing records in SPOKEdb, and participating in processing-related planning and prioritization. The Oral History Archival Processing Specialist is responsible for managing and training student employees and participates in various public service responsibilities at the Special Collections Research Center.
