**Job Description Summary**

Responsibility for Steam Rotating Equipment Sourcing volume within the Rugby Service Centre to ensure on time fulfilment of business needs, supporting supplier rationalisation and panel optimisation, commercial solidity, with tracking of key deliverables and ongoing schedule of work.

**Essential Responsibilities**

This position will be report to the Parts Sourcing Fulfilment Leader NE, and will be responsible for the Cost, Quality, Fulfilment and compliance of all sourced products and services required to support the Steam Rotating Equipment Business. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Ensure externally sourced scope is purchased at the best price, quality and that it ships on time to meet required need dates.

Responsible for supplier selection, preparation of request for quotations, offer evaluation and all related communication with suppliers

Responsible for the fulfilment and preparation of negotiation and closure of contracts (purchasing agreement and contract of works) for external sourcing of services and materials of complex project scopes.

Lead Key Sourcing Negotiations, manage sourcing partners, Strategic Projects, Rationalisation, Project Manage major spares projects across the network, create and manage Strategic Sourcing Deals giving benefits short, medium, long term.

Financial Savings/Cost reduction: Negotiate pricing and Payment terms on all purchase requisition volume assuring most competitive pricing is achieved without sacrificing Quality or fulfilment needs. Utilise all available digital tools including, Best Part Price, Cross business Volume Tableau reporting. Goal is to targeted cost savings on PO volume, and 100% compliance to No PO No Pay and Competitive bidding policies.

Commercial/Strategic Supplier development: Develop Supply Agreements and Master Services Agreements with strategic suppliers in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing teams to assure robust supply chain is established with best cost, fulfilment and commercial terms.

Supplier Performance Management: Manage all aspects of supplier performance including Purchase Order Pricing, PO Placement, and PO Acceptance, Supplier Promise date commitment, delivery confirmation and payment issuance. Manage and maintain on time delivery in accordance with Targets set.

Provide advanced expediting and/or work with engineering on alternate part selection for critical parts when supply chain cannot improve promise date to meet project requirement.

Work with respective Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure the use of qualified suppliers and to resolve supply chain issues

Collaborate with other sourcing units and work streams (Parts Sourcing, Field Service, Indirect Sourcing) for Synergies of Agreements, Costing volumes and Commercial Terms

Be responsible for establishing strong working relationship and communication rhythm with cross functional organizations to assure business needs are fully understood and translated into supplier strategy/supplier requirements.

Take ownership of supplier performance & improvement from a Cost, Delivery and Quality perspective.

Be responsible for ensuring compliance to sourcing policies and procedures including No PO No Pay and Competitive Bidding.

Provide Flexible Responsive sourcing support to meet stakeholders needs and specific evolutionary requirements.

Partner with Supplier Quality and other countries to identify Supplier qualification requirements. Support Cost of Failure negotiations, Ensure On Time Delivery and Supplier performance compliance.

Support Preferred Supplier Programs including GE2GE initiatives. Compliance with GE Integrity and working to develop Sourcing Policies and Procedures at all times.


+ Bachelor Degree from an accredited University or College.

+ Minimum of 5 years experience in Sourcing, working for an Industrial or Power Generation Company.

+ Proficient in MS Office applications including, Excel, Word and Power Point

+ Ability to organise, access, prioritise tasks,

+ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

+ Excellent communication skills: must have excellent written and verbal English other languages would be an advantage.

+ Advanced knowledge with procurement and sourcing processes in tender and execution stage, expertise in preparation of cost calculation, ability of analytical evaluation of data.

+ Good knowledge of the concepts of Purchasing Agreements and Contracts for Work
