Manufacturing Specialist - Operation Management

**Job Description Summary**
Perform the daily operations of teams to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line for our Gate 1 operations. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
**Job Description**
+ Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility to reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
+ Ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Establishes a high performance, accountable work culture and environment that enables business performance. Employs positive employee relations and proactively recognizes and resolves concerns. Ensures consistent interpretation to policies and procedures.
+ Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
+ Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of manufacturing experience (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of manufacturing experience).
+ Demonstrated team leadership and results of that team.
