Role Summary:The Lead Logistics Sourcing Specialist will act as logistics point-of-contact interfacing with GE Renewables businesses On-shore Wind internal customers to meet businesses commercial, financial and fulfillment needs.



In this role the person will provide Indirect Logistics Sourcing support for all Projects & Services teams in the country and acts as the GE focal point for suppliers for all Logistics contracts in LATAM.

Essential Responsibilities:This position works closely with following stakeholders: Installation, Logistics Operations, Customs, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Tendering, Engineering, Finance and Payments.



As the Lead Logistics Sourcing Specialist, you will:



Collaborate to tenders costs estimates for LATAM markets

Develops logistics strategies to optimize total landed costs for Outbound, Inbound, Warehousing, Services and Capex contracts scopes.

Act as the Logistics Sourcing business partner ensuring on time negotiations, Capex submission, purchase order placement and contract issuance to meet internally schedules demands.

Builds comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize transportation cycles and deliver deflations costs to businesses.

Own the regions portfolio logistics budgets as well as Estimate at Completion variances. and deliver on cycle & margin opportunities within the portfolio

Lead cross-functional teams to ensure proper initial budgeting/planning and ultimately execution of logistics that supports the on-time delivery at the lowest optimized cost

Regularly present to business leadership the strategies and execution plans being implemented to drive operational goals

Works with suppliers to prioritize work over multiple projects.

Supports logistics providers claim processing working closely with contract management.

Works closely with the Global Sourcing to ensure Sourcing policy, metrics, contracts and supplier quality are driven into every project.

Liaise with Global Process and Tools Leader to deploy process and tools in the procurement units as well as KPIs reporting.

Initiates and drives deflation and usage savings, cash, and other key metrics for Indirect logistics contracts.

Be the Sourcing representative and first point of escalation for supplier and internal customers related issues.

Keep Cost Reduction Initiative trackers and other trackers updated

Maintaining and developing relationships with current, new and potential on-site contractors, shippers, shipping lines, port authorities, component vendors and all carriers.

Work cross-functionally with multiple parties to identify, analyze, implement, and sustain all viable options to promote lead time reduction.

Leverage Logistics strategy and best practices across all of GE Renewable Energys global factories.

Working cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, supply chain and finance to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes.

Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors Degree from an accredited university with at least 8 years experience in a sourcing, operations, logistics or supply chain role.

MBA Graduation.

Minimum of 5 years' experience on procurement role with proven Logistics background and cost reduction proven record.

Minimum of 3 years' of contract management experience.

Fluent English and Portuguese.

Desired Characteristics: Good knowledge of International & domestic logistics requirements.

Experience working with shipping procedures and freight forwarding suppliers

Good leadership, communication & negotiation skills.

Ability to react quickly in a cross-functional, fast-paced, high volume role and communicate effectively at all levels.

Very strong result-oriented mindset

Six Sigma & Lean experience/certification

Demonstrated team player with a strong initiative of working horizontally and resilience.

Working knowledge of ERP/ SSP systems (SAP, Oracle, Races)

Experience with RFQ implementation, contract management and BIDs execution

Intermediate Spanish language.

Renewables and/or Oil & Gas industries experience is a plus.

MBA in Supply Chain related areas.
