Lead Finance Specialist - FP&A Operations

Role Summary:Japanese Speaker Only) Responsible for all the finance related matters in Japan, working with respective region finance team to ensure GE GAAP are being complied; accuracy and timeliness in forecast and analysis; lead and manage the consolidated financial accounts; and be the business partner to advise on the project financial position.

Essential Responsibilities:Missions :

Provide timely and accurate Financial Reports and analysis for the unit/segment/project under his/her care, liaise with relevant FP&A contacts, internal and external auditors if required.

Communicate pro-actively and act as the key Business Partner for Operational Project Managers by providing timely information on projects revenues, margins, cash, risks & opportunities and contribute to continuously improve working capital to performs to its utmost.

Work with Controllership by being the guardian of the internal control practices and accounting instructions and relevant fiscal regulations for the allocated projects.

Responsibilities :

Project Financials (reporting, controlling, coordinating) after tender phase; focusing on transparency, accuracy, efficiency of the project working capital, margin and cash

Ensure all project related accounts are complete, accurate, and valid according to GE GAAP and policy, this include but not limited to:

Proactively scrutinize and challenge Operations team to identify and provide input on sales, margin, LD provisions and claims valuation.

Partner with region and local operational team to ensure compliance with GE GAAP and Policies

Partner with region OTR finance to lead local OTR related processes and reporting requirements

Responsible of all OTR and FP&A forecast and management reporting (such as billing, cash, base cost, and PD)

Ensure that all financial processes & instructions and internal controls, including but not limited to DoA, Unifier, are implemented comprehensively, accurately and timely.

Coordinate with commercial and procurement team to proactively identify potential embedded derivatives exposure, monitor existing exposure evolvement.

Proactively supports/responds/manages, required, periodic financial closing and reporting processes and their associated (ad-hoc) requests efficiently /timely, including but not limited to maintain fairly stated financial reports and the integrity of balance sheet accounts.

Manage /action/ respond to audit requests, internal control requirements and or controllership queries and or reviews timely.

Support / Ensure STAT and Fiscal reports / queries are filed / responded to relevant authority in an efficient and timely manner.

Proactively support restructuring, process simplifications, automations, process change efforts when required

Lead Finance initiatives and champion the usage of new systems/tools within the organisation

Lead all ad-hoc projects required finance supports


+ Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Japanese and English and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders

+ Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
