Lead Finance Specialist - Contract Accounting

**Job Description Summary**
The Lead Finance Specialist Contract Accounting has overall responsibility for all reporting and controlling requirements of projects, for proper consolidation of Project results and for a comprehensive communication to secure consistent accounting and reporting of Projects in terms of detailed scope and responsibilities as follows:
Accountable for all Financial issues on the Project after tender phase ie from contract award date to project close-out/ Final Acceptance Certificate, 100% collections and return of PBGs.
Track financial movements with regards to revenue, costs, margin, billing and cash. Ensure that financial information is consistent, approved and reconciled on a regular basis in the ERP systems.
Ensure regional & global review of consolidated financials of project, and understand financial movements due to internal & external business partners.
Provide all necessary support to project managers for project financials such as billing, revenue forecasting, project margins and give inputs for claims etc.
Support Project team in preparation of the Project reviews and attend consolidated Project Reviews.
Managing of project and unit cash flow: billing, cash in and Past dues.
Support Project team for commercial issues related to Project. Interaction with Customer for various commercial issues and its resolution
Tracking and management of bank guarantees
Check, control and monitor movements in Actual and Committed Costs.
Management of Budget Deviation Reports with PM/PD for quarterly project reviews.
Responsible for timely and correct booking (Margin as Sold, current as sold, current forecast, internal flow elimination) from order booking to project completion.
Develop strong relationships and continuous communication flows with all project controllers in Project Participating units to ensure that working assumptions are shared, consistent and reported in a timely manner.
Implement the controlling tools used within the reporting unit.
Ensure that all financial processes, instructions and internal controls, including DoA, are implemented in a robust and compliant manner.
Support FP&A team in calculation of hourly rates
Support External and Internal Audit
Requirements:
At least 5-6 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the projects business.
Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting Professional qualification.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly proficient in MS Excel spreadsheet skills
Experience in the use of SAP
Basic knowledge of GST in India
Desired characteristics
Strong accounting background and operationally inclined in a projects/service industry
