**Job Description Summary**

Product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Ensure that products and services perform according to quality standards and that manufacturing processes are capable and qualified.

+ Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

+ Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

+ Oversee, monitor and facilitate Quality Assurance activities in Europe/Asia/North America/India region respectively including:o Facilitate and support roll-out of in-process inspection concept.o Review and provide input on FMEA and control plans.o Own inspection lists and prepare, implement effective check points for quality assurance and control checks.o Drive initiatives to optimize inspections and focus on assurance checks.o Identify and escalate potential risks in meeting the quality standards, policies and processes.o Secure that the plants are trained and are utilizing problem-solving tools and 8D methodologies in their daily work.o Implement error proof mechanisms (Poka-yoke) to prevent defect occurrence.o Support training of plant quality staff according to quality staff competency model.o Monitor and get FAI executed effectively in plants.

**Required Qualifications**

A bachelor or masters degree in engineering.

A minimum of 5 years experience in working with quality within manufacturing, preferably within the wind industry.

+ Knowledge of Quality Management systems and standards.

+ Experience with performing audits and assessments

+ Experience in working with PDCA, SPC, 8D, Poke Yoke , APQP 4wind and FMEA

+ Results driven, with analytical and numeric skills.

+ Strong English language skills both written and verbal.

+ Used to work in a global and dynamic environment.

+ For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing & Production Quality Assurance. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

+ For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
