**Job Description Summary**

Experienced mechanical or aerospace engineer who has a desire to learn and design with the industry leading ceramic matrix composite team. This team works on military programs to design and test jet engine components made with ceramic matrix composites (Combustor and Turbine flowpath hardware). This role includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components, impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team, executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines, and there is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. This position has offerings for career growth within mechanical design.

**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.

+ Utilizes knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

+ Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others.

+ Uses judgment and ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.

+ Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal andlimited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

+ Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.

+ Ability to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance.

+ Ability to work on-site

+ Experience with hardware design and engineering drawings.

+ Technical depth in composites, ceramics, or turbine design.

+ Experience with computer-aided design and stress analysis software.

+ Experience in analytics and statistical tools.

+ Proven facilitation and collaboration skills.

+ Interest in being a self-starter with your eye constantly on problem solving and driving solutions.
