Job Summary | The Department of Psychiatry is looking to hire a Laboratory Technician Senior position to be a part of an expanding research program. This individual will report directly to the Department Administrator and work collaboratively with several PIs in the Department of Psychiatry along with faculty and staff clinicians to execute and manage research projects within the Department. This individual will work directly with patients and research subjects to complete screenings, gather demographic information and provide research education to patients and families within the Department of Psychiatry. The Laboratory Technician Senior will also provide basic research and administrative support to the research functions of the department and serve as a key member of our research team. Experience in a laboratory setting or with research programs in a medical setting is preferred. The University of Kentucky considers the health, safety and well-being of our entire community to be a top priority. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | General computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office. Must be able to create and manage data in Excel. |

Preferred Education/Experience | BS in Psychology, Social Sciences, Biology or any related field plus plus two or more years related experience preferred. Experience with human research subjects desired. Preferred additional experience with RedCap, Qualtrix, Oncore and Epic. |
