Role Summary:The FP&A Leader will direct Financial Planning & Analysis for GE Healthcare Japan.

Essential Responsibilities:In this role, he/she will translate concepts, develop strategy, implement change, create programs in response to external environment to drive Growth for the business. He/She will support the Japan Business Leaders and Japan CFO in managing core financial processes and reporting, and be a critical business partner to drive execution of business strategy and finance face to global HQ, . He or she will report directly to Japan CFO and working closely with Japan CEO & Global FP&A leader.

Provide technical and financial leadership in planning, directing, and integrating all aspects of budgeting, reporting, and analyzing activities.

Lead planning cycles including developing estimates, operating plans / forecasts / reviews, Blueprints 1 3 year outlook, HQ reporting.

Responsible for monthly and quarterly closing/estimates and develop reliable estimates of Orders, Sales, Operating Margin, and other key related metrics. Communicate current results and estimates to business leaders.

Track progress against plans at a granular level. Identify risks & opportunities each quarter and lead team in mitigating risks while capitalizing on opportunities.

Understand, communicate and explain variance drivers within business. Segment them into unusuals, controllables etc to drive decision making

Support Japan Business Leader, CFO and P&Ls and functions in evaluating investment strategies linked to various "what if" customer & external market driven scenarios for strategic business planning purposes.

Be a Champion cost & productivity initiatives across

Own business monthly memo and bowler process and consolidate with accountability

Drive standardization & process improvement in all aspects of planning and reporting, including best practice sharing.

Qualifications/Requirements:Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, CPA or equivalent

10+ years finance work experience in Healthcare or related industries

Finance experience of handling complex financial structuring

Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems / applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner

English is mandatory, and Japanese is a plus (preferable)

Desired Characteristics:Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs

Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as Kaizen

Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions

Experience working in a matrix environment
