Position Overview:

The IT Security and Systems Administrator reports to the Assistant Director, Cloud Systems Architecture, and is responsible for supporting disaster recovery planning, preparation, and testing for all critical systems noted within the Business Continuity Plan related to on-premises or cloud configuration and assist the Cyber Security team with all server, infrastructure, and application security tasks. This individual ensures the operational integrity of the Board's Windows critical infrastructure and related technologies through the maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of those technologies. This individual coordinates with internal Board teams during problem resolution and resolve escalated Service Desk break/fix tickets, and oversees cloud vendor management of project tasks, changes, and issue resolution using ITSM solutions for issue tracking and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Two to five years of Systems Support and/or Help Desk Support.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to create and maintain cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and emergency response documentation.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with users, colleagues, and management to troubleshoot complex issues, and write clear documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security practices and procedures.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and understand additional technologies and third-party applications.
  • Ability to define, plan, execute, and manage multiple IT systems projects.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adept at conducting research into infrastructure-related issues and products.
  • Strong working knowledge of recent IT trends such as Managed Services, Cloud Computing, and Infrastructure Virtualization.
  • An ability to research and provide recommendations on solutions related to both security and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • An ability to effectively work remotely utilizing an uninterrupted internet connection, as required.
  • An ability, interest and desire to stay current via seminars, industry literature, and formal training and development.
  • A bachelor's degree in business analysis, business administration, information system or related degree, preferred.
  • MCSE Certification, technical work experience with exposure to diverse server configurations, preferred.
  • CCSP certification or equivalent, preferred.
