POSITION SUMMARY

Reports to the Sr. Manager of Learning & Department & partners with the Director of Learning & Development, subject matter experts and other learning partners to design, develop, and implement live, blended and online learning programs for our global communities: group leaders, C-Level members and Vistage employees.

THE VISTAGE INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Key aspect of this role will be to support the expansion of our Chair learning programming globally to address key Chair development opportunities that align with organizational goals and global expansion efforts.
  • Additional key aspect of this role will be to develop and design asynchronous e-learning modules to support on-demand skill development in our Learning Management System.
  • Collaborate with International team, Learning Leaders and global partner staff to understand each countrys unique learner needs.
  • Concentration on extending our learning platforms globally through facilitation, on-line and just-in-time learning accessibility.
  • Focus on maintaining quality Chair programs and consistent results internationally.
  • Use adult learning principles and ADDIE to design and develop innovative courseware, presentations, exercises and other learning solutions for traditional classroom, live virtual, asynchronous and other educational media used by employees, Chairs and members.
  • Author learning modules and blended learning kits, PowerPoint presentations, games, exercises, case studies and other learning tools for Chairs.
  • Author and manage learning courses, curricula, communications, attendance, evaluations, and reports and follow up learning connectivity for distinct communities of learners.
  • Use planning and communication skills to document existing Chair education and development; contribute improvements to the learning materials, delivery systems and content for preparation webinars, live instruction and live virtual webinars.
  • Assist with the development of learning assessments, the analysis of results, and the development of strategies and learning solutions to fill learning gaps or new opportunities for development.
  • Work with learning providers across the organization to strategize the most effective use of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Effectively communicate with various project collaborators, including other technology providers, to ensure that Vistage Chair, employee and executive member learning needs and goals are understood and met.
  • Work with our Creative department to plan and devise the layout of text, photos, illustrations and other media for presentation.
  • Build constructive relationships with the Vistage instructors and other departments, teams, Chairs, Partners and others, in alignment with Vistage values and mission.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three - Five years experience preferred in Human Performance and Training and Development with an emphasis on utilizing the theories of adult learning instructional design in a fast paced environment.
  • BA/BS degree or higher. Comparable work experience within the discipline can be substituted for actual degree completion.
  • One or more years working closely with (or in the role of) Interactive Multi-Media Learning Designer.
  • Experience in instructional/curriculum design for a corporate environment.
  • Experience in instructional/curriculum design for e-learning, asynchronous, and on-demand learning modules.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrate teamwork and spirit of collaboration with project team and business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations and consider both effectiveness and efficiency in selecting delivery method and/or media and design materials (internally and externally designed).
  • Experienced in conducting analyses of learners, learning communities and competencies.
  • Seasoned in the development and communication of curriculum maps, storyboards, flowcharts, performance objectives, testing strategies, learning activities tailored to individual projects.
  • Ability to conduct structured research and implementing competency-based need assessments in order to design and develop an appropriate curriculum approach.
  • Willingness to adapt style and methodologies to conform to the highly productive, value-based work environment that serves an international community of executives.
  • Captivate experience preferred
