Job Summary | The Gatton College of Business and Economics is recruiting for an Instructional Design professional. We are looking for an individual with a master’s degree in information technology, education, instructional design, communications or business (or the equivalent); plus, three years’ experience in instructional design using learning management systems and advanced multimedia and/or e-learning authoring software is preferred. Successful candidates will have extensive information technology backgrounds, be proficient in different software programs, including Microsoft Office, Canvas learning management systems, Animation software, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and other multimedia software and a strong management background. Responsibilities include providing support, consultation, and expertise in instructional design and implementation for individual faculty and faculty cohorts for both undergraduate and graduate courses in the Gatton College; communicating/collaborating effectively with faculty while designing, developing, training, implementing, evaluating, and optimizing program and course offerings; providing expertise in the effective use of synchronous and asynchronous instructional technologies to develop and deliver courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; coordinating with the director of accreditation and assessment to employ research-based strategies and practices in line with SACS and AACSB accreditation standards, attending to distance learning accreditation standards; and providing leadership around project management and implementation of course design and delivery of both online and hybrid programs. The Gatton College of Business and Economics is nearing its 100th anniversary. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | • Extensive information technology skills. • Proficient in different software programs, including Microsoft Office, Canvas learning management systems, Animation software, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and other multimedia software. • Communication tools such as Adobe Connect, WebEx, Zoom web conferencing software, or other online communication platforms. Competent in HTM and Web technologies in general. • Strong project management skills. |
