Job Description



With direct supervision and support, the Inside Sales Specialist I is responsible for achieving the individual assigned pharmacy sales goals to add incremental value to ANDAs AOP and market share. The incumbent will use consultative selling techniques to increase business with existing customers on outbound and inbound telephone calls for the purpose of selling ANDA products that include, but are not limited to vaccine, medical surgical products, surgical supplies, generic items, brand items and consumer products.


Shift hours are from 10:30am-7:30 pm Monday through Friday with a rotational Saturday.


  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws
  • Achieves/exceeds established daily and monthly productivity goals for phone time, call count and revenue, with an emphasis on growing and retaining existing customer base through cold calling and prospecting
  • Places outbound telephone calls to and from independent Pharmacies, in an effort to promote and sell ANDA products, establish buying cycle, fill customer needs and create strong relationships
  • Delivers differentiated value to customers through a growing understanding of the unique needs of customer segments and apply a sales execution model that is consultative and solution-focused
  • Continuously promotes ANDAs eCommerce capabilities to increase web volume
  • Gathers and reports market intelligence and customer insight by asking probing questions
  • Maximizes customer relationship by providing solutions through programs and promotional offering

Education Required

High School diploma with two (2) to four (4) years of related experience; Bachelors degree preferred with zero (0) to two (2) years of experience, preferably in the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or food industry; or equivalent combination of education and related experience

Experience Required

  • Experience in the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or food industry or related industries
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of internal systems that include but not limited to Remedy (CMR) and TPS or willingness to learn
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred
