Essential Duties:

Veterinary hospital prospecting to generate new business which includes:

  • Present, promote, and sell technology solutions using solid arguments to prospective customers via live and web-based demonstrations.

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.

  • Travel to territory and attend trade shows, as needed (post-COVID-19).

  • Ensures lead nurturing, processing, and alignment output meets business objectives.

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities, assess, clarify, identify the client's needs, and effectively match our solutions to their needs.

  • Foster and maintain close relationships with distributor & manufacturer partners to facilitate seamless sales processes.

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, listens effectively, transmits information accurately, and actively seeks feedback.

  • Stay updated on any current promotions offered through our partners.

  • Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with all internal teams, sales development representatives, prospects, and industry influencers.

  • Ability to quickly develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of Vetsource solutions and remain an expert on current product knowledge

  • Utilize professional networks to improve relationships with current customers and reach out to new prospects.

  • Maintain customer database with accurate and up to date profile information, pertinent notes, and opportunity tracking

  • Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting.

  • In-depth understanding of B2B sales cycle stages and the skill sets required to move prospects through each stage.

  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new products and technologies.

  • Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

  • Must be able to make sound judgment decisions and know when to ask for assistance

  • This position will be working out of our Portland headquarters, and when it is safe to do so, it will be expected to be in the office.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or related work experience

  • Knowledge of Salesforce

  • Knowledge of Salesloft or similar sales enablement tool

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience

  • Track record of achieving sales quotas

Working Conditions:

  • An environment where dogs may be present

  • Sitting and working at a computer for long periods.

  • Ambient noise moderate

  • Occasional travel may be required (up to 5%)
