Job Summary

The Institute for Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy department is currently seeking an Information Technology Manager I position. The Information Technology Manager I is responsible for providing support for domain management including setting up new users permissions, supporting virtual machine environment for users, documenting security system changes, and ensuring backups and upgrades are maintained. The person in this position will work closely with the Systems Engineer on the creation of policies and procedures, risk assessment practices, and security issues.

The Information Technology Manager I will assist with security compliance in a HIPAA compliant data center by verifying all new users have completed the appropriate training assignments, documenting training certificates, and deactivating non-compliant users. This position will also determine purchasing needs and obtain quotes for new IT software and hardware purchases directly from vendors. They will maintain an inventory of assets, licenses purchased, and user assignments and will conduct routine audits to ensure accuracy.

Excellent customer services skills are required for this position. The Information Technology Manager I must be able to provide support and troubleshooting assistance to all levels of customers both internal and external to the department. They will develop and provide training to customers for accessing various technology resources.

• High level of competency with Windows/Linux/Unix OS architecture (client and server)
• VMWare (vSphere, vRealize Operations Manager, Horizon VDI)
• Functional understanding of Access Control Lists
NTFS and Share Permissions
• Familiar with Dell x86 technologies (iDRAC, Support Assist)
• Understanding of databases
• Documentation and Instructional Writing
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams, Effective Communication, Organization, Self-Motivated

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree with 6-8 years relevant experience
