Position Summary
|
Under minimal supervision, and in compliance with company policy, manufacturing and safety procedures and any applicable outside certification standards, the Industrial Engineer is to develop and sustain efficient operational methods for engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain that improve profitability.
|
Essential Functions
|
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
- Provide decision making information to management by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
- Determine metrics and create comprehensive dashboards to monitor the progress and effectively communicate with leadership.
- Drive the projects to increase productivity, reduce lead-time, improve quality, and cost savings.
- Create BOMs and Routings and adjust as needed in ERP System.
- Research and develop new technology, manufacturing capabilities, tooling, materials usage and product testing capabilities as needed to support the growth of special projects
- Check shop orders for technical accuracy and completeness of quoted materials; ensure necessary prints, drawings and installation instructions accompany orders
- Identify manufacturing capabilities and limitations; calculate production capacity and coordinate with production control team.
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need

Education and Experience
|
- BS in Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process or manufacturing support
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
|
Technical/ Function Specific
|
- High mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read manufacturing blueprints
- Advanced math skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, planning, and time management skills.
- Effective communicating ideas using written and verbal means at all levels of management and coworkers
|
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance
- Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Microsoft Windows and Office
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based upon data.

- Frequently required to stand and/or walk, up to 8 hours per day, and make trips from the office area to the manufacturing area
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing area, including, but not limited to, safety glasses and safety shoes
