World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world's leading conservation organization, seeks a Communications Intern for the Private Sector Engagement (PSE) team to assist in the implementation of internal and external communications efforts.


The main responsiblities of the intern are supporting the Private Sector Engagegment communications team through research, coordination, communications, and administrative tasks that contribute to the successful management of corporate partnership communications. The intern will support communications with WWF's major business-focused initiatives as part of a broader strategy to inspire and motivate business audiences to take on the mantle of corporate leadership. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports the development of the sustainability social media strategy, focusing on WWF's Linkedin channel. Develops social media content.
  • Writes sustainability-focused content, including blog posts, web stories, conference pitches, and stakeholder letters.
  • Manages monthly internal newsletter.
  • Updates partnership case studies, working with relationship managers to collect and update partnership results and KPIs.
  • Supports major communications activations with priority WWF corporate partners.
  • Supports implementation of communications strategy as needed.

The Private Sector Engagement intern may also contribute in a supporting role across additional areas of the Private Sector Engagement team's work. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in meetings with internal and/or external stakeholders, developing and distributing meeting notes afterward, as necessary.
  • Scheduling meetings as needed and supporting with setup for meetings.
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks.


Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree, or active enrollment in a bachelor's program in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.

  • Excellent writing and research skills and an ability to write, deliver and evaluate communications and marketing for specific audiences and outcomes.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills. Attention to detail.
  • Sees the value in working with others and contributing toward larger goals and projects.
  • Has a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle many details; meet deadlines.
  • Organized, self-motivated and flexible.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook is required.
