Shift | Shifts [7:00am – 3:00pm; 3:00pm – 11:00pm; & 11:00 pm – 7:00am]. Hours of work may vary due to situational factors and/or emergencies requiring night(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response. |
Job Summary | Under the supervision of the Utilities Systems Supervisor, this position maintains, installs and operates equipment at Heating/Cooling plants. Primary responsibilities include: maintains proper steam pressure and chilled water temperatures; operates and maintains boilers and associated equipment; must be familiar with distribution systems such as piping, steam, chilled pits, water pits, etc.; feeds coal into boilers; maintains a uniform coal bed; removes ashes and empties coal accumulation; and drains boilers; lubricates, operates and repairs equipment; responsible for maintenance and operation of chillers, compressors, underground distribution lines, towers, pumps, and auxiliary equipment; cleans evaporator and condenser tubes; keeps job site clean; may try to resolve certain problems independently; assists training other employees and may assign tasks; responds to emergency situations and other duties as assigned. Will require working overtime as needed/requested. This position works as the team leader and is responsible for duties relative to maintenance, installation and operation of equipment to maintain steam pressure/chilled. There is currently more than one position open for the Heating/Cooling Plant Operator II. To be considered for each position, you must apply for each position. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | MS Windows/Office; SAP; KRONOS
Driver’s License — Preferred Experience with building and equipment maintenance; HVAC
troubleshooting and repair experience. Ability to work different shifts and overtime as needed. |
