Healthcare Services Sales Director/Sr. Director - U.S. Remote

As a Healthcare Services Sales Director, you will play a key role in growing our business as an outside sales representative with responsibility for the management and execution of direct sales in an assigned territory and/or business segment in the U.S. for Performant's Healthcare Services.  Leverage your diverse professional business and sales experience and knowledge in the healthcare industry to exceed your revenue and market expansion goals as well as have an impact on the development of infrastructure and tools in our rapidly growing organization. Expand Performant's footprint by identifying and developing opportunities aligned with Performant's objectives, educating potential clients on how Performants value-add solutions can impact their bottom line, driving the sales cycle, and collaborating with internal teams for customer success excellence.  The position is remote, so location is flexible. Job duties include, but not limited to:

Sales and Marketing:
-Develop and drive new business to meet or exceed assigned financial targets 
-Develop sales pipeline, tracking all sales activities, and meet or exceed territory and/or market objectives
-Leverage relational network within assigned territory/market to source leads and identify opportunities to expand Performants footprint and create sales opportunities
-Develop sales discussions and definition of offerings with existing clients for service expansion opportunities
-Understand target company business and educate target companies on Performant offerings to identify solution opportunities
-Successfully manage and execute simultaneous opportunities
-Develop effective tools and presentations to prospects and articulate Performants message, solutions and key differentiators
-Continuous evaluation of sales performance against objectives, and adjustment to territory strategies as needed to meet business objectives
-Contributes to development of strategies, tools and best practices leveraging depth and breadth of diverse professional experience and knowledge of the healthcare industry
Relationships and Collaboration:
-Build relational network within assigned territory without losing sight of the ability to close business
-Build relationships and collaborate internally effectively
-Leads cross functional activity required to support the sales cycle
-Contribute to the growth and development of the sales team aligned with growth objectives
-Serves as positive role model and leads by example 

Solution Delivery and Client Satisfaction:
-Partners with Account and Program Management to ensure successful customer implementation strategy and successful transition from sales to solution implementation
-Establishes feedback process with application Account and Program Managers to support and influence solution implementation as needed

-Contribute to the growth and development of the sales team aligned with growth objectives
-Serves as positive role model and leads by example 


-Travel as required

-Other duties and initiatives as assigned to meet business needs

Required Skills and Knowledge:
Strong understanding of the healthcare payer industry and demonstrated ability to navigate within it to identify key stakeholders and acquire new clients. 
Demonstrated success managing full sales lifecycle for similar healthcare service solution offerings.
Requires exceptional influencing, facilitation, and communication skills coupled with analytical and critical thinking abilities. 
Demonstrated success identifying and developing meaningful opportunities for existing and new business solutions, executing multiple sales cycles simultaneously with exceptional organizational skills and focus under pressure.
Proven success in consistently developing and managing pipeline that results in new contracts aligned with company objectives, while meeting and exceeding objectives and sales targets.
Great listening skills and patience with demonstrated ability to leverage effectively throughout the sales and customer life-cycle 
Demonstrated ability to develop and leverage a strong network within assigned territory and industry, bring stakeholders on board and manage relationships effectively in the best interest of the business. 
Strong technical and presentation skills that can be leveraged to understand and effectively communicate Performant solutions. 
Ability to deal well with ambiguity. Can effectively shift focus and priorities comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortable handling risk and adversity. 
Applies excellent interpersonal skills both in one-on-one situations and in larger group meetings. 
Ability to influence at all levels, including C-level decision makers, in a positive and professional manner that aligns with Performant Company Values (People, Excellence and Innovation)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel 50% of time 
Heavy use of computer and phoneSit/stand/walk 8-12hr/day 
Lift/carry/push/pull under and over 10lbs occasionally 
Keying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in business, finance, management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 10+ years progressive professional level solution sales experience 
Minimum 5 years relevant sales experience in healthcare commercial markets with demonstrated success in fast-paced high growth.
Specific experience in healthcare audit and recovery services market highly desired 

Director/Sr. Director and compensation based upon experience and demonstrated qualifications.

Other Requirements:           

-Must submit to and pass background check.
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
-Must submit to and pass drug screen.

Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position may require submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company.
