The Markey Cancer Center is seeking a Health Communications Manager to be part of the Community Impact Office. This position is responsible for developing and disseminating health communications campaigns and materials aimed to promote behavior change and raise awareness about cancer research via a variety of communication channels, including tailored content for low-literacy audiences and specific cultural groups in underserved populations. Responsibilities include providing direction, planning, coordination, implementation, evaluation and continual improvement of evidence-based health educational materials. The health communications manager will be an experienced communicator with energy and interest to manage multiple priorities and complex projects. In addition, the selected candidate will be a communicator who understands the cancer center as a unique setting; an advocate with a passion for individual and community wellbeing; and who welcomes the opportunity to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) excellent verbal and written communication skills, collaboration skills, creativity, experience creating a variety of formats (videos, infographics, educational materials) and using social media and analytics platforms, and providing strategic guidance for internal and external partners.
