Job Summary | Call for RA Applications: Application window: February 22, 2022 – March 30, 2022 The Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion is seeking a dynamic research assistant to support health promotion research and intervention implementation science.
#iCANendthetrend welcomes applications for a graduate research assistantship focused on innovative, transdisciplinary and impactful health research. #iCANendthetrend’s research involves tobacco prevention, improving mental health outcomes, and educational program data analysis and evaluation. Graduate students from all disciplines, including social sciences, public health, business, education, and others, are welcome to apply. #iCANendthetrend research assistants will work with faculty engaged in a diverse array of research approaches, including community-based participatory research, survey design, intervention development, and dissemination and implementation. #iCANendthetrend research assistants will engage and support efforts in research conduct, development of presentations, abstracts, peer-reviewed manuscripts, professional networking, enriching activities (speaker series, workshops), mentoring undergraduate students, statistical analysis, grantsmanship, and development of communication and promotional materials. This is a part-time graduate research assistantship (20 hours/week) with a competitive stipend. A tuition scholarship will be requested, but cannot be guaranteed at this time. The start-date is August 15, 2022, but summer hours prior to start date may be available. Members of underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated. |
