Job Summary
The GME PROGRAM COORDINATOR position, under the direct supervision of the specialty Program Director and/or GME Education Specialist, and in consultation and regular collaboration with the DIO or their designee, is responsible for managing the daily administrative activities of the residency program as outlined in the ACGME Institutional, Common Program and Specialty Program Guidelines for Graduate Medical Education.

The GME Program Coordinator position will support the program directors for multiple fellowship programs in meeting the educational objectives of the fellowship. Job duties include: assist the Program Director(s) through coordination and documentation of all aspects of fellowship training, independently organize and ensure timely distribution of performance evaluations of fellows, including review by Program Director(s) and Clinical Competence Committee. Other duties include: provide administrative support to Fellowship Program Director(s) related to program activities, and coordinate with overall Internal Medicine educational program (departmental education initiatives and activities) in order to ensure ACGME compliance and best practices.

The Division of Infectious Diseases also has a non-accredited fellowship program for Vulnerable Patient Populations and this position will provide similar duties for both the ID ACGME Fellowship and the AETC HWE Fellowship programs.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Good typing and computer skills, along with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment. Strong data management, and customer service skills are also essential. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of UME/GME preferred.
