General Superintendent

POSITION SUMMARY:
Comfort Temp Company is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be driven, safety conscious, and well versed in the HVAC industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage site safety as required and ensure subcontractor compliance with standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure quality and finish of all work projects, insuring each meet company standards, and expectations to promote a reputation of excellence.
- Maintain high levels of production to meet profitability goals.
- Assist in all heavy lifting (crane lifts, rigging, forklifts, etc.)
- Assist with layout
- Verify daily reports are done daily
- Verify as built drawings are kept up to date and are accurate
- Be available at minimum by phone every hour that people are working on projects you are supervising
- Assist with material takeoffs and orders
- Attend project meetings as needed
- Provide support and creative solutions for field labor and resources
- Assist with scheduling field labor for all reasonable schedule needs
- Collaborate with PMs, GCs, etc. with all aspects of projects
- Help provide positive reinforcement to and of the field labor
- Help train the future and current workforce in best practice methods
- Standard employee requirements (see employee handbook)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, equipment, tools, and material used in the mechanical trades.
- Minimum ten (10) years responsible construction experience of which at least Three (3) years were spent in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to read and analyze construction plans and specifications.
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Knowledge and experience in the general site work demo and deconstruction industry.
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in pressure environment and to meet deadlines.
- Clean driving record
- Clean Background
- OSHA 30
- Hydronic experience
- Sheet Metal experience
- Refrigeration piping experience
- Equipment installation experience
- EPA Certification
- Required Hand tools and torch set
