Job Summary | This position is only open to undergraduate students at the University of Kentucky. Student Community Resources and Services is seeking enthusiastic front desk staff to serve as students’ first point of contact with our office, as well as ambassadors for first-generation student programming. Desk staff responsibilities including welcoming and directing guests, answering and directing phone calls, and event promotion. Duties also include scheduling appointments, working with office technology, and maintaining a clean and organized front lobby. Ambassador responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with marketing tasks such as tabling at special events, serving on student panels, and representing the office during recruitment events. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated. |
