Job Summary | We are looking for a student who is passionate about issues of poverty, hunger, food insecurity, food waste, sustainability, food insecurity, health and wellness of the community to perform some or all of following tasks upon training: ships to develop innovative, meaningful programming to : - Work as a team to collaborate with on- and off campus partners to promote volunteering opportunities and expand beyond the meal programming, such as nutrition education and cooking classes; – Recruit establish new community partnerships to develop innovative meaningful programming to grow sustainability and environmental programs through gardening, food recovery, and composting to support local, community gardening , and agricultural efforts; – Increase awareness about food waste, hunger, and role of the Campus Kitchen at the University of Kentucky (CKUK) and University. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Multi-tasking team player, work ethics, self-motivated, elective communication, interpersonal, and organization skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook. PowerPoint. Excel, Word) and one of design software. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Food service management, basic cooking skills, and knowledge of food safety. Background in health, nutrition, education, community service, social work, management, or related field. |
