Frequent standing and walking; lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs.

Flexible; 10-15 hours/week.

Conduct historical research using primary and secondary sources on several topics relating to faculty research. The major focus concerns historical memory of slavery and tourism in the southeastern U.S. (ca 1900-15). Duties include retrieving primary and sources from various campus libraries, note-taking, working with online databases, and creating files as instructed.

Strong attention to detail; good organizational skills; ability to read and prepare notes using a computer; working with online databases for long periods.

Students with strong historical interests and/or experience preferred. Students majoring in history or interested in historical research are especially desired. History majors preferred.
