Normal business hours, flexible schedule, up to 20 hours/week.

Job Summary

The job involves support for research activites including taking minutes at research meetings, preparing spreadsheets from various data sources, communicating with researchers, updating websites and educational and outreach materials, keeping lab inventory, and assisting with lab record keeping. Candidates with suitable experience and/or interest can be trained to assist with more technical tasks including operation of scientific instruments.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Familiarity with basic office software, comfort learning new software.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience

Experience operating scientific or engineering instrumentation will enable a broader range of responsibilities; experience updating simple websites through a content management system would be helpful. Preferred engineering, physics, and chemistry majors.
