Til Valhalla Project (TVP) is a veteran-owned and primarily operated apparel and memorial product company where the proceeds acquired from our sales provide free memorial plaques for the families of fallen military, first responders, and law enforcement, along with giving back to our Military community via donations to raise awareness for Veteran Suicide. Ideal Candidate: 


We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and responsible Fulfillment Center Manager to lead the execution of customer orders. Manage and oversee all Fulfillment Center Management activities, ensuring efficient processes, maximizing productivity, and driving superior customer service through careful order management and proactive internal and external communications. The ideal candidate will interface daily with Operations, Production, and our internal e-commerce team; and be their first point of contact when issues arise.


To be successful as a Fulfillment Center Manager, you will have outstanding analytic skills and excellent communication, both written and verbal. In addition, you will demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills.


 


What is Expected of You?   



  • Optimize order fulfillment procedures, monitor team productivity and KPIs.

  • Drive fulfillment goals, understand your role in supporting sales growth, and how your department and team impact total store profitability.

  • Utilize your workload planning tools to ensure all customer orders are shipped accurately and within appropriate lead time.

  • Review all fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve them.

  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations

  • Verify that Order Fulfillment and Shipping systems/software is current and up to date.

  • Confirm packaging and marketing labels are correct on finished orders.

  • Order Progression - Review open and backorders, ensuring thorough follow-up with supply areas and buyers for availability dates, and inform direct Management of any potential misses to the commitment dates.

  • Identify process gaps and issues, recommend process improvements and system enhancements for enhanced efficiency and productivity.

  • Proactively communicate changes to the department and effectively manage the teams priorities during high order volume peaks.

  • Remain updated with the latest trends with Order Fulfillment techniques, developing continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality, productivity, and safety.

  • Provide weekly reporting to Operations Manager to improve our performance and quality of our products.

  • Monitor adherence to good housekeeping, safety regulations and take appropriate corrective action to correct unsafe work practices and hazardous situations.

  • Lead and coach the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all fulfillment processes

  • Close knowledge and skill gaps through training and experiences.

  • Make efficient use of warehouse space to store/display finished products, maintaining accuracy and organization of finished inventory.

  • Assist in budget development and expense management activities.

  • Able to meet deadlines and to report expectations consistently.   

  • Other duties as assigned.



What You Need to Succeed: 



  • Veteran/Military background Preferred

  • Associates in Business, Distribution, Operations, or related field; A combination of job-related experience and ongoing educational progress may be considered in place of a degree.

  • 2+ years of direct management experience for employees and their performance. Preferably with a hands-on, led by example type of personality

  • 2+ years required working in a Fulfillment Center, E-Commerce Fulfillment, Distribution center.

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, manage multiple priorities, perform under tight deadlines, and work collaboratively in a changing and challenging environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills. 

  • Critical thinker who can adapt standards to a wide variety of formats and develop new concepts.

  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information

  • Resiliency; respond well to constructive feedback.



Plus, if you also have:




  • Experience managing a team of 20+ employees

  • Experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma)

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills



Requires the Ability to:




  • Work in an internal environment varying in cool to hot temperatures. 

  • Tolerate an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud. 

  • Capable of maintaining the stamina needed for long hours of physical labor, requiring long hours of lifting, packing, standing, and movement around the warehouse. May also be required to reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel.

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. 

  • Regularly required to read, compose written correspondence, hear, and communicate verbally. 

  • Possesses explicit knowledge and the ability to navigate and troubleshoot computer ordering systems.

  • Regularly required to lift and move objects an average of 25-45 lbs, occasionally lift and move items weighing more than 50 lbs. 



 


Salary:


$37,440 - $41,600
