Shift | Up to 15 hours/week. Transformative Learning offers services Monday-Thursday 9am-10pm, Fridays 9am-5pm, and Sundays 4pm-10pm. Generally, front desk staff are scheduled for 2-4 hour shifts within these operating hours.Occasional additional weekend hours may also be available. |
Job Summary |
This position is only open to undergraduate students at the University of Kentucky who have been awarded Federal Work Study Postings are open through 6/1. Interviews will occur on a rolling basis for qualified candidates from March through June 1. Applications submitted earlier will be given priority consideration. Transformative Learning is seeking enthusiastic front desk staff to serve as students’ first point of contact when seeking out our services. Desk staff responsibilities including managing the check-in and check-out process, providing information about peer tutoring, Integrated Success Coaching, Supplemental Instruction and other TL initiatives, and promoting various special events. Duties also include scheduling appointments, answering phones, working with office technology and maintaining a clean and organized front lobby. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with marketing tasks such as tabling at special events. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and enjoyable experience for our students. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated. |
