A role in our new Flow Center means being on the very front lines of getting product to the guest as fast as possible—a critical differentiator and one of the most essential functions within Logistics. Whether it’s through focusing on regional or upstream distribution centers, target.com fulfillment centers, or import warehouses, you’ll have a chance to positively impact thousands of fellow team members and Target guests worldwide. There’s so much good work to be done, from Distribution Center Operations, where process and problem solving drive our results; Quality Management, which influences and maintains our good name in the retail marketplace, or overall Distribution Center Productivity, where we’re always analyzing and recalibrating how to best support our people, process and technology investments to support an ever evolving business.
As an ICQA Leader, you'll oversee the daily operation of assigned Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) functions and supervise team members in execution of those functions.  The ICQA leader root causes and analyzes operating methods and procedures to identify opportunities for inventory control and total quality through bin accuracy tools and process audits; determines methods and procedures to use and implements those procedures, inclusive of kaizen and continuous improvement events.  Implements innovative and creative ways to achieve desired results in the areas of Bin/Location Accuracy (BA), Order Completion Rate (OCR), Inventory Adjustments, Process Auditing and the growth and development of team members.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manages a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness.
  • Supervises team members within activities such as Bin Accuracy audits to achieve results in inventory integrity and accuracy, measured against a goal defects per million opportunities (DPMO)
  • Oversees ICQA programs to meet or exceed inventory control and quality assurance metrics: Bin Accuracy, Order Completion Rate (inclusive of label defects and inventory record defects), and Inventory Adjustments (reported as both net and gross with reason codes for adjustments)
  • Evaluates Bin Accuracy tools to identify gaps in operating processes impacting inventory control and total quality, decides appropriate methods and procedures to use and implements those procedures.
  • Performs root cause analysis on any defects within leading metrics.
  • Performs process audits within Inbound and Outbound operational departments to validate root causes in defects within Bin Accuracy and Order Completion Rate.
  • Leads kaizen and continuous improvement events with operational departments to stop-gap process control and quality issues.
  • Ensures bin audit, bin verification, and problem solving tasks are set, managed, and completed each week.
  • Collaborates across operational departments to drive quality goals and meet inventory control metrics while fostering an environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
  • Drives specific job function definition and accountability to ensure defect resolution within a specific Service Level Agreement (SLA) to ensure product flow physically and systematically through the building.
  • Ensures operational leadership and hourly teams understand processes that impact building quality performance and adhere to stated best practices.
  • Leverages headquarters ICQA team and tools to drive total quality and continuous improvement initiatives forward.
  • Takes appropriate counseling and corrective action, in partnership with Human Resources, when team member performance is not meeting expectations.
    About you:
  • Four year degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with great interpersonal skills
  • Strong reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict
  • At least 3 years of experience in an ICQA role
  • Ability to access all levels and areas of the facility
  • Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures and relate them to others
