Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasional (<10% of the time) job related travel.

Job Summary

This position will develop, enhance and promote the Financial Well-Being Program which directly enhances engagement in and support of the University’s retirement plan. Duties include: facilitating the financial education opportunities for University employees; researching demographics of UK population and target specific audiences; creating training tools and promoting new and existing financial resources to counsel employees; counseling employees on retirement plans and processes; overseeing financial well-being programs for faculty and staff.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects while accurately completing routine functions in a fast paced, high intensity, professional work environment; knowledge of SAP preferred but not required; thorough finance knowledge; experience with public speaking and oral presentation skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skill; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; provide exceptional customer service and positively represent the university; perform work in a sedentary position; interact with individuals from various levels throughout the university; work successfully in a team as well as independently; be motivated and a self-starter; and respect for confidentiality and diversity. Experience in investment counseling required as well.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master’s Degree, Certified Financial Planner and prior Financial Services experience preferred.
