HX5 is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Fort Walton Beach Corporate office. The Financial Analyst II develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


The position duties include the following.

  • Completes monthly project financial reporting requirements to include, but not limited to Contract Deliverables (CDRLS), Funds and Man-Hours Expenditure Reports (FMERS), and Estimates-At-Completion (EAC/ETC)

  • Completes contract closeout processes

  • Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance

  • Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action

  • Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly

  • Assists with preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts

  • Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing plans and forecasts

  • Reviews contract and modifications to identify applicable financial information

  • Other duties may be assigned


Supervisory Responsibilities


This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:


  • Six years of accounting experience; or a Bachelors degree in accounting from an accredited university and three years of experience or an Associates degree with four years of accounting experience.

  • Government contracting experience required.

  • Ability to demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality a must.

  • Ability to maintain high level of attention to detail required. 

  • Experience with OASIS EPASS contracts highly desirable.


Computer Skills


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Deltek software (CostPoint, Time and Expense) and Microsoft Office products.  Proficiency in MS Excel is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.




This position does not require travel.




This position does not require a security clearance.
