Balchem is looking for a Finance Manager to lead Supply Chain Finance strategic activities. This role will report directly to the Supply Chain Finance Director. Responsibilities will include leading efforts across the network for robust productivity pipelines, cost containment actions and driving accountability to targeted commitments. This role will have at least one direct report. The individual should have an eye towards continuous improvement, leveraging technology and other solutions to automate and scale our processes to enable strategic decisions. The individual must possess excellent critical thinking skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and possess an attention to detail, while comprehending the bigger picture.


  • Proactively lead thoughtful analysis regarding the Supply Chain impact on the P&L, Balance Sheet and key financial metrics.
  • Lead Financial close activities and analysis for manufacturing sites supporting Balchem's Animal Health and Specialty segments.
  • Support the Company's annual Supply Chain budget and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Recommend and drive Supply Chain Finance related process improvements; provide input to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with Supply Chain Operations, Accounting and other internal partners to drive actionable decisions to deliver business results.
  • Enhance inventory accuracy & accountability as primary Finance partner on the analysis of Excess and Obsolete inventory. Identify causes and process improvements opportunities.
  • Lead initiative to review & standardize how materials and overheads are captured in standard costs to drive better decision-making capabilities.
  • Drive working capital improvement, especially around strategic inventory reductions and AP terms
  • Motivate, retain and develop key staff
  • Lead integration of M&A activities impacting Supply Chain, as necessary.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of directly related Finance experience within a manufacturing/supply chain organization
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Power BI or similar reporting development experience a plus


  • Work is primarily sedentary
  • Operate typical office equipment
  • Primarily works inside an office environment
