Role Summary:The Field Operations Leader manages all of the site execution activities (resource planning for direct and contractor employees, scheduling, documentation alignment and use, site mobilization and demobilization, tooling, site purchasing) across all Hydro in USA.

Essential Responsibilities:As the Field Operations Leader for your country you will have the following responsibilities:

Develop and manage field service footprint including team sizing and infrastructure (tooling, standard processes, etc.);

Maintain strong partnerships with the Project Directors & Contract Managers for overall project strategization;

Operationally coach Site Managers, Multi-Site Experts and work cross functionally to develop standardized site methods to improve site efficiency;

Leverage project management experience to contribute to the development of Field Ops strategies;

Proactive engagement in R&O assessment, able to drive outside-the-box opportunities to fruition, as well as effectively mitigate/eliminate risks;

Ability to be heavily immersed in the Field Ops strategization at the ITO phase with strong understanding of the commercial market;

Develop resourcing strategy for projects across USA to ensure safe and successful execution and competitiveness of site activities, including construction unions and subcontractors;

Prioritize and schedule manpower based on multiple project factors (scope, duration, location, customer requirements);

Collaborate with other functions to address & correct quality issues, as well as to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives;

Effectively manage reporting, communicating, and collaborating with executive management, both regionally and at the global level;

Contribute, leverage, and execute to the functional, regional, and business G&Os;

Drive a focus on safety and compliance throughout all field service activities;

Develop and implement standard approach to costing of site and field service activities across the country;

Actively support the commercial team in deal structuring for future opportunities;

Manage resources from both dedicated and shared pools of field supervisors, field engineers, site managers, multi-site experts, and commissioning engineers;

Ensure availability of experts and specialists to quickly respond to customer problems and support sales and operations of Service Agreements;

Ensure teams are properly managed, appraised and developed.

Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or management field (or equivalent experience);

Minimum of 10 years of established experience in Hydro field execution, power generation and field management experience;


Ability to travel up to 20%, as required.

Desired Characteristics: Project Management experience;

Strong understanding of customers and the industry;

Excellent leadership skills;

Strong presentation skills at the executive level;

Strong EHS culture;

Strong influencer and capacity to lead change across the Field Ops function;

Strong IT skills (i.e. MS Office).

Strong experience in the Power Plant Business and good knowledge of generator and turbine hydro machine;

Proven track record working and managing field service sites;

Familiar with Hydro offerings and operating model;

Ability to successfully navigate in a matrix environment;

Creative problem solver with strong sense of urgency;

Strong interpersonal skills & demonstrated leadership.
