Executive Digital Product Manager

Role Summary:As Executive Digital Product Manager within the Power Generation and Oil & Gas (PGOG) business unit, you'll own the strategy and delivery execution for the applications product portfolio in this high-profile, high-potential business segment. Youll be responsible for a team of high performing product managers for Asset Performance Management (APM), Operations Performance Management for Power (OPM), Digital Worker and Asset Answers across the Power Generation and O&G Business.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will:



+ Deep understanding of customer ecosystem to innovate ways to generate business growth in support of business segment targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin.



+ Establishes business model innovation especially in new or adjacent markets.



+ Build and mentor high performance teams of product managers, including business and domain experts



+ Build and mentor high performance teams of product managers.



+ Make sound investment decisions based on market opportunities, market trend, risks, competitive landscape and strategic partnerships.



+ Responsible for roadmap, product lifecycle and product management processes.



+ Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners and customers at CxO and senior management levels across industries and geographies.



+ Be a regular speaker in events and active in industry associations to influence and shape the direction for the business and technology in the segment.



+ Work cross functionally across sales, internal/external customers, analysts, marketing, engineering and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.



+ Global travel required as necessary.



+ Will have strong financial acumen and accountability.



+ The leader is or has the capability to become a well-known & reputed thought and business leader in the industry.



+ The leader will report to Vice President/Business Unit Head and responsible to create strong working relationship & influence across product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across GE businesses, partners and customers.



+ Will engage customers at CxO/executive level as a trusted partner.



+ Cross functional leadership to define and execute the vision and strategy.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications



+ A minimum of 15 years of experience in the software industry



+ A minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Management/Strategy functions



+ A minimum of 7 years of experience in technical & customer facing roles with proven track record



+ Must be willing to travel 30% of the time





Eligibility Requirements



+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.

Desired Characteristics:



+ Experience working in either Power Generation or O&G businesses, either as a supplier of technology or in a customer capacity.



+ MBA preferred



+ Demonstrated ability to proactively drive portfolio and investment decision to balance customer needs, install base requirements (refresh) and long term enterprise differentiation



+ Track record of evangelizing concepts beyond current offerings and driving business model innovation (product, service and delivery innovations)



+ Highly effective in collaborating with business to align pricing with GTM strategy



+ Track record of evangelizing impact of pricing strategy and business model innovation on business transformation



Business Acumen:



+ Proven ability to make strategic partnering decisions for the product line including the creation of new inbound/outbound channels



+ Expertise in monitoring and shaping industry dynamics, trends, and policies and to shape a culture that proactively uses market intelligence to drive significant growth



+ Adept performing as a trusted advisor who consistently marshals the best company resources across business functions, including at the executive level, on behalf of the customer Leadership:



+ Track record of success in setting & driving strategy for the organization in relation to upstream and downstream effects. Implementing and driving program/product strategy within the organization



+ Proven ability to set and change direction at the enterprise level by building and using direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas and leverages chains of indirect influence



+ Knowledge and ability to sell and improve the Program/Product Management process, its outcomes and ongoing results
