The UKFCU Esports Lounge is open 7 days per week from 7:30am to midnight Monday through Saturday. Sunday from 12pm 6pm. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available.

Job Summary
UK Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking to hire temporary part time student position to support day to day operations in UK’s new Esports gaming lounge, Innovation space, Theater, and Media Production Room.
The newly opened space called “The Cornerstone” is located on the corner of N. Limestone and Avenue of Champions and is the home of UK’s Esports arena and innovative teaching and learning spaces. This position will serve in a variety of support roles including but not limited to providing exceptional customer service, student iPad technical support, Twitch streaming and casting,
and creating and posting to facility social media accounts.
The position will ensure customers understand how to: use the facility’s services; access and play games; setup IDs and use payment systems; monitor customer’s behavior and actions; ensure customers follow facility’s rules. The position will also be responsible for maintaining the facility’s equipment and systems. The position will work as part of ITS collaborative team and
have the opportunity to learn new technical skills and grow their skills while also having senior level support available to support their assigned tasks. The position will also support other departmental and facility needs as required.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Must be able to communicate effectively through written, verbal and non-verbal mediums with individuals from various backgrounds; provide excellent customer service to all customers; maintain high levels of concentration and mental attention; and have strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
