Physical Requirements | Applicant must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, be available to work long hours in a noisy environment, work in outside/hot/cold conditions, and be on feet for long periods of time while adhering to current COVID-19 guidelines. |
Shift | Days and evenings Monday through Friday. Internship opportunities range in length during the time frame of August and November 2023. |
Job Summary | Responsibilities include working with school age youth in the following areas: develop and teach hands-on environmental education classes, lead recreational games, campfires, singing, night hikes or other activities that convey the value if the natural environment. Interns will select an environmental project approved by their on-site supervisor and which is an area of interest to the student. They will conduct research and develop the project into a written plan. Internships available at JM Feltner 4-H Camp (London, Kentucky), West Kentucky 4- H Camp (Dawson Springs, Kentucky), Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp (Jabez, Kentucky), and North Central 4-H Camp (Carlisle, Kentucky). |
