Position Title: Engineering Support Technician Position Type: Temporary

Job Overview

Perform functions associated with electromechanical manufacturing operations, including working with engineers and other technicians to streamline prototype machine assembly.

Assist Engineers with support tasks related to electromechanical assembly of prototypes for semiconductor assembly equipment. Utilize strong organization and computer skills to manage spare parts for critical customers, prepare shipping documentation.

Assist Development engineering team by helping to organize parts, manage prototype inventory, collect spare parts for customer shipments, handle shipping documentation, work with procurement team to track down missing parts, interface with suppliers to resolve parts shortages or manage parts rework.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage prototype material (unpacking, organizing in bins/racks, identifying shortages)
  • Maintain inventory organize replacements for defective parts or consumed spares.
  • Prepare parts kits for assemblies in prototype and pilot production.
  • Assist engineers and senior technicians with assembly of machine modules
  • Assist in problem solving of build or part issues as they occur, support engineering in implementing short and long term solutions
  • Prepare documentation for shipments including cost and tariff code information
  • Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped. Work with personnel at other sites to track shipment and inventory
  • The successful candidate will have a growth and development path that includes more sophisticated engineering technician responsibilities and/or material logistics support responsibilities, depending on aptitude and interest
  • Test completed assemblies per test instructions and document results
