**Job Description Summary**

The Engineering Manager leads a Wuxi, China based team for our growing LCS Clinical Accessories Business that works on developing innovative accessories that connect GE patient monitoring, therapy devices to the patient and augments the device performance.



The Engineering Manager leads the Wuxi engineering team through the product development lifecycle while meeting quality, regulatory compliance, cost, and business targets. In addition, the leader will drive talent development and engagement for the team. This leader will work closely with peer Engineering Managers for Clinical Accessories in Helsinki, Milwaukee sites and Local Site Engineering leadership for other LCS Segments.

**Job Description**



**Essential Responsibilities:**



+ Functional leadership of the team, including recruitment, team/talent development, skill set improvement, and mentoring; Resource assignment and prioritization including headcount and base cost budget

+ Lead engineering team through the product development lifecycle while meeting quality, regulatory compliance, cost and business targets

+ Provide technical guidance and leadership, constantly innovate and implement best practices to deliver best-in-class design with highest quality.

+ Instill a rigorous approach to target costing for new products and driving cost out of existing products

+ Lead change through creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues; Optimizing teams participation in all phases of product development

+ Support existing products within Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service and Supplier Quality Engineering

+ Works to drive timely resolution of impediments escalated by engineering team by managing roadblocks and distractions

+ Motivates team and drives a sense of urgency on meeting program commitments / delivering on the product roadmap

+ Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality in all areas of the GE Healthcare Quality Management System

+ Demonstrate accountability & communication skills to drive design rigor, innovation, & collaboration within the team and across Clinical Accessories globally

+ Collaborate with peers across functions (e.g. Marketing, QA/RA, Supply Chain, Service) to drive a high performance team environment.



**Qualifications/Requirements:**



+ Bachelors Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline

+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning and program execution

+ Minimum of 3 years of previous supervisory experience and demonstrated competency in providing leadership and coaching to direct reports.

+ Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget CTQs

+ Demonstrated competency in providing leadership and direction to cross-functional program aspects and resources

+ Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to present at all levels

+ Inspiring Passion for quality and customer satisfaction beyond processes and metrics

+ Demonstrated experience in interfacing with customers, field service, and commercial teams in healthcare environment

+ Demonstrated understanding of the regulated Healthcare industry



**Desired Characteristics:**



+ Masters degree in engineering

+ 7 years of experience working with Ultrasound / LCS products

+ Proven ability to work cross-functionally

+ Demonstrated project leadership and/or people management skills

+ Demonstrated supplier and manufacturing interface skills

+ Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others

+ Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives

+ Proven LEAN skills

+ Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes

+ Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills
